Comment:

The Gold Coast market has been quite flat over the past few quarters after prices for both houses and median density dwellings eased during 2008. Rental growth has also slowed after consistent rises over recent years. The rental vacancy rate has increased to 4.5% which is indicative of an oversupplied market. Not currently recommended for investment but will be interesting to watch over the period ahead as opportunities re-emerge.
